Logos Network
Short
description:
The goal of the project is to form Logos Network
consisting of the representatives of the informal
groups and institutions,NGO-s and the interested
individuals in Pirot region,whose work priority or a
vision is-Wellfare for the Children and the
youngsters.
Numerous contacts with the informal
groups,institutions and the representatives of Civic
Associations were acomplished.All the members of the
network confirmed the readiness to form the LOGOS
Network by the letters of purpose ,and accepted the
principles of the good cooperation,forseeing the
creation of better conditions for the life of the
children and the youngsters,continuation of the
cooperation,the developement of the common
program,editing the publication,the strengthening of
the international cooperation and goals for the
developement of the civil society.There have been 22
institutions,11 informal groups and 138 individual
e-mail decrees in the network in December.The
members of the network receive more than 35
electronic information.

description:
The goals of the project are: the improvement of the
informing of the youngsters of Pirot region,the
improvement of the communication among the
youngsters of the pirot region,involving of the
young of Pirot region in the Net work,the education
of the young,better cooperation of the young of
Pirot region and the coevals out of the area,the
transparence of the work of the young of the
region,incorporation into the other networks of the
young and cross-boarder cooperation,the help to the
young in the field od the interests,realization of
the mutual projects.

and multiculturalism in Pirot
Short description:
Bu the project we want to help the developement of
the society,by taking part in the
educational,research,multicultural and informing
activities enchancing the developement and
undrestanding among the children-students*of the age
of 11-16 who are undre the influence of the
political events and exprewssing the agressive
attitude toward the children different from
themselves)as well as the future members of the
democratic society,unburdened with the past and
turned to the positive values of the developed world
and Europe.

PIROT VOLONTEER CENTER
Short description:
The
goal of the project is the renewal and the
developement of the idea and the practise of the
volonteer work,
involvement of the greater number of the citizens
into the volonteer work,
creating of the stock-exchange of the volonteer
work,
connecting the organisations supporting the idea of
volonteerism and internet presentation of the
volonteer contribution to the community.
The basic aim of the project is forming of the first
„Pirot Volonteer Centre“ under the Teachers“
Association“ LOGOS from Pirot wishing to create the
necessary data basis in the international
volonteer“s year about the necessity of the
volonteer work and action and to enable involving of
all citizens in solving the local comunity
problems,with its skills,creativity,humanistic needs
and offering of the good services.
Short-term
goals:
Creating of the data base,Renewal and the
developement of the idea and the practise of the
volonteer work in Serbia and Montenegro.The
involvement of the much greater number of the
citizens in volonteer work,The promotion of the
volonteering,and providing the support of the public
opinion for the idea of the volonteerism.Recognition
and evaluation of the volonteer work,Creating of the
Net of all the organisations who involve volonteers
in their work.
The long-term goals:
The forming of „The stock-exchange of the volonteer
work“,The improvement of the conditions of the life
in the local comunity by engaging of the
citizens-volonteers.The reaffirmation of the
responsibility and the care of the citizens for the
community they live in.The involvement into the
educational system of the pozitive value of the
voloneerism.The developement and implementation of
the volonteerism in creationg the legal regulation
which will protect the
volonteers(financing,relationship between the
business and volonteer section,the form9ing of the
team dealing with the work of the volonteer
organizations...)The active participation of the
MEDIA in informinf of the citizens about the
activities of the volonteers.The internet

Different but EQUAL
Short
description:
The goal of the project is the expansion of the
culture of peace and the respest of the difference
among the students of Serbian,Jipsy and Bulgarian
nationality of the age from 11 to 16 years in the
elementary schools in Pirot.We realized 5 workshops
with the project,with the children talking about the
prejudices,the impact of the surrounding,the
imp[ortance of the media,school,parents,the negative
events happening according to the models,and how the
children predict the possible prevention of the
events..“The children’s coordinator were chosen,some
of them involved in the second phase of the project
or in some other projects.Especially important
experience was of the children who have alredy had
the experience (positive or negative) with the
representatives of the other communities.The resault
was a lot of honest children life stories,a lot of
proposals(one of them was alredy realized in 2003
through the project of the international
cooperation,on the ecological education of the
children in the 4 countries of the region.We are
expecting the strong financial support during the
next phase.

Healthy food from Stara
Mountain
Short
description:
The goal of the project is to improve the quality of
kačkavalj and cheese ( sir) from the Stara
Mountain through the education.
By this project we want to elicit the new
technologies to the producers, in order to increase
the production of the high quality cheese and
improve their material status.
The villages in the Stara Mountain extinct, the
production of the healthy food, especially the high
quality cheese is decreasing, and the huge space is
unused.
The bad communication with the bigger towns, the
altitude difference and the climate of the area
minimize the possibility if the kinetic of the
population and the possibility of education and the
application of the new technologies with the respect
of the traditional experiences in preparing and
producing of the recognized cheese and kačkavalj
from the area.

The name of the project:
Strengthening of the Capacity
and Improvement of the Quality of the Community
Life-Disabled persons in Pirot region
Short description:
By this project we have wanted to strengthen the
stucture of the organizations and associations
offering the support to the disabled persons,and
which would be ready to apply for the projects and
the activities to other donors and financers.
We educated 5 future trainers,who will continue the
education of its members after they are retired.
The indirect advantages of the project are the sense
of personal satisfaction,the professional
competence,the sense of belonging to the target
group and the responsibility to help the
developement of the volonteerism and better mutual
undrestanding of the members of the association.
By the realization of the project we came accros the
various proposals which we are ready to realize in
the next period.We initiated the removal of the
physical barriers in the centre of the town as well
as the putting of the sound traffic light at the
local authorities.

The sterategy of the
Developement of the Tourism in the Stara Mountain
Short description:
The goal of the project is to emphasize the
importance of the sustainable developement to the
inhabitants on the theritory of the Natural Park of
the Stara mountain through the field of the
alternative way of the sustainable living.
By the project we realized the survay,TV spot in
duration of 15 sec,two round tables,having pesented
the importance of the sustainable developement, the
possibilities and the advantages of the Stara
Mountain.
The especially important document used by LOGOS
is:”The sterategy of the Developement of the Tourism
in the Stara Mountain”carried out by Dr Ph Stevan M.
Stankovic,active professor of the Faculty of
Geography-The University of Belgrade for the
necessities of LOGOS.We hope that this important
document will be used by the representatives of the
municipality of Pirot in the creating of the
strategy of the developement.
The product of the project is a new proposal for the
project on the creating of pre-condition and
collecting of the necessary information needed for
the initiative of the procedure at tha authorized
body of the Republic of Serbia about the protection
of the specific products from the area of the Stara
Mountain.

The Jipsy educational crntre –
REC
Short
description:
The goal of the project is foondation of „The Jipsy
educational crntre – REC“ and offering of the
support to the Jipsy children on the teritory of the
municipality of Pirot.
18 children are involved in the projct from the
primary schools,and who needed the help in learning
of the curriculum from: Serbian language,Maths and
Computer science.
The project is completely realized by volonteering
of the members of LOGOS.
The educators are the teachers of the mentioned
subjects.

Action for the Development of the Children and the
Youngsters in Pirot region
The goal of the project is to educate the
children and the youngsters in Pirot region in order
to take the active part in solving their own
problems, and the problems they could solve in their
surrounding, applying the educative developing
program.

THE LIST OF THE PROJECT ACTIVITIES
According to the report of the representatives of
the donors the project is evaluated with 98 points
(possible 100). During the last period only one
project had 100 points at the donor. This is a moral
and professional satisfaction to LOGOS team and the
authors of the program who sent 23 projects from
September 2003 to October 2004(only one was awarded
the financial support for further working.
